When my last relationship broke up I decided to do something I had not contemplated doing before, I signed up to an online dating site. This was not a decision I would have ever thought of making before, online dating sites always seemed a bit cheesy for my tastes and I never thought I would join one, ever. The situation was a bit sticky though, my ex boyfriend had already moved on with a former friend of mine and I found myself in a very embarrassing position, if the situation had not been so drastic I don’t think I would have had the courage to join that online dating site.

So I joined the site, feeling quite uncomfortable and unhappy but still hoping that I would find a nice guy and maybe begin to forget all about my ex and my so called girl friend. One night when I came home from work I found them on my couch kissing and caressing all over each other. Of course all our friends found out about it and when we broke up people began looking at me like they felt sorry for me and I really hate that. Now that last thing I want is for them to think that I am sitting at home by myself every night, I don’t want or need their pity.

The online dating site produced some really great matches for me, and it was all really fast. I got lucky in the fact that there were many professional members and I got matched with some really good looking guys in the first few days. Within a week I was chatting online and on the phone with several of my matches and already life was looking much better for me. I was glad that I had made the decision to join the site and I agreed to go out on two different dates that weekend.

As the weekend now looms ahead of me, I am a nervous but also very excited to get out with these guys. It's going to be a lot of fun and hopefully neither one of them is a jerk that is just looking for sex. Worst case scenario neither one is perfect for me but now with the site I have a lot more guys I can meet and for sure one of them will be the guy for me. I know I have a very bright dating life ahead of me and can't wait to get started on it.
